Peace and development are interrelated. Development without peace is unimaginable. Likewise peace without development can’t be long lasting. Present situation of our country is the true example of them. Present conflict of our country has affected women and children. It is clear that unless the power of women is recognized and their position is raised, this country can’t move ahead of the
present situation. The peace and development campaign was started from Jan 2003-Dec 2004 with the financial support of UNDP/SPDI. The main objective of the program is to carry out peace-promoting activities for the armed-conflict vulnerable communities, households particularly focus on women and children of Kavre, Ramechhap, Dolakha-Sinduli and Sindhupalchowk.
In recent development DidiBahini is planning to provide scholarship to the children of conflict victims with whom it was working some times back.
